 Objectives:

  • Aim: To develop good practices in motivating, engaging and empowering disadvantaged learners in identified target groups (unemployed, ethnic minorities, single and other disadvantaged parents, socially disadvantaged young adults)

Specific objectives:

  • To cooperate with other agencies working with TG
  • To define and collect conditions, difficulties and specific educational needs of TG
  • To find specific and alternative strategies for engaging, motivating and empowering disadvantage learners in TG
  • To encourage learners in TG to develop positive attitudes towards learning
  • To develop appropriate materials to support learners in TG
  • To provide pathways for further opportunities and progression for learners in TG

 Main activities:

First year: 
  • To cooperate with other agencies working with TG
  • International meeting in Catania, Italy: Better partnership knowledge and work plan
  • Report defining conditions, difficulties and specific educational needs of TG
  • International meeting in Iasi, Rumania: Report’s evaluation
Second year: 
  • To develop strategies for engaging, motivating and empowering disadvantage learners in TG. Report about them
  • International meeting in Casale Monferrato, Italy: Strategies’ evaluation
  • International meeting in Glasgow, Scotland: Project’s evaluation.  Exploring ways of developing Grundtvig 1 project.
Third year: 
  • International meeting in Alcobendas, Spain: Preparation for dissemination events. Prepare the ground work for a Grundtvig 1 project
    • International meeting in London, England: Final dissemination conference
